Nic Macs interest into
the world of electronic music began in 2003 when his mate Timmy,
let him mix his first track one night at the Disco Factory. His
first mix was a success, he was hooked.
He began buying vinyl shortly after, his main interest at the
time being uplifting trance and hard tech trance, his first two
records were the classic tech-trance anthem Energy 52’s
Cafe Del Mar (Marco V remix) and the techy Pray No Pop by Kaylab.
Listening to them on his home stereo as he did not yet have equipment.
5 months later he invested in a pair of decks and mixer.
Teaching himself to mix by listening to his favourite producers
including Oliver Klitzing, Marco V and Randy Katana, his musical
interests broadened into hardhouse, uplifting trance, all the
way through to tech trance, hard electro, techno and house.
His first gig was at a private party for a friend. They loved
him and he had his first taste of watching a crowd go off to his
mixing.
After mixing for 11 months he sent a demo around and he scored
gigs at 3D and Krankin nightclubs from there he went on to play
a huge crowd at G.O.D Easter edition!
Since then he has secured a residencies with High Fidelity, Trance
Urban, he also played for Bassmental parties, and continued to
make appearances at 3D and Krankin.
Nic's self taught methods and influences create a unique style
of mixing and his diverse taste in music ensured styalistic versatility.
