The Beginning

Peewee began his career at the very beginning of the modern dance music era – that’s the beginning of House music and Hip Hop !!! or the birth of the new technology –the sampler !!!…
He is a leader of a new breed of DJ’s that have influenced and shaped its sound. The role of the DJ had become more than just a jukebox but a producer, remixer, and songwriter.
From the early RAT Parties at the Hordern and Dance Deliriums at Pier 4 in the 80s -through to the Utopia Parties at Superdome and Two Tribes Events at Rod Laver Arena ; Peewee has always been at the very pinnacle of his profession, forever pushing the limits and developing his unique sound.

This Decade

In 2004 Peewee released a world first DJ mixed DVD compilation called Hard Trance featuring 70 minutes of VJ mixed video graphics ,live footage and special features.
In 2001, Peewee was voted in Ministry Of Sound Mag top 25 most influencing people in Australia Dance scene, in 2000 voted Juice Magazine’s Top 25 DJ’s in the world and from 1993-1995 was voted in DJ Magazine (UK) Top 100 DJ’s in the world. This international exposure has led Peewee to work throughout Asia, Europe and even Africa. During 2000 and 2001 Peewee toured China twice, alongside Seb Fontaine and Yousef. Further, Peewee was the first Australian DJ to play in South Africa at Freedom Festival 2001. Peewee also graced the shores of Hannover, Germany, where he was invited to play at Lovestern Galatika Meets EXPO 2000, with an international line-up and more than 15,000 party people.

However, the talents of Peewee Ferris do not stop at DJing alone, with music production also an imminent part of his career. By far the most prestigious highlight of Peewee’s career was composing the music for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, reaching an audience of over 4 billion people worldwide per ceremony. In 2002 Peewee was the chief musical composer and arranger for the Sydney Gay Games Opening Ceremony.

Peewee’s very own massive 2000 club hit, 'Genesis' has just had a European re-release with 2003 remixes. In 2002 ‘Genesis’ was re-released in the UK and has been hammered by the likes of Paul van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold. This year also Peewee has releases on Perfecto Records (UK) and Black Hole (Holland) also TEC Records (UK).

Peewee has twice been nominated for an Aria award for his album “Social Narcotic” and his Top 20 single 'I feel it' and has been awarded an Aria Gold Record for production work. Peewee has knotted up over 70 different dance remixes for artists such as Ultrasonic, Jocelyn Brown, Eternal Rhythm, Human Nature, Men at Work and the list goes on and on. Peewee’s pseudonyms include Evac, Slot Jockies, Asio and the Pipi Le Oui. The Pipi Le Oui track ‘Funky Bus’ is still being hammered by Fatboy Slim and Freddy Fresh and is often heard on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection on UK’s BBC Radio One.
